Eileen Fisher founded her namesake brand in 1984 for a very personal reason; she was having trouble getting dressed. She wanted the process of dressing to be as straightforward as throwing on a uniform. After much thought, she developed a collection that showcased beautiful colors and great fabrics with simple shapes and proportions.
