A New Yorker with southern roots, designer Mignonne “Maggie” Gavigan Smith launched MIGNONNE GAVIGAN in 2014 after seeing an opportunity in the marketplace for eye-catching jewelry that incorporated elements of couture beading and artistry. Her signature scarf necklace launched the collection when she ripped a couture gown, tied it around her neck and wore it with a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers.
