Serpui Marie initially studied chemistry and even earned a doctorate in the subject, but could not deny her talent and ambition to become a designer. Originally inspired at a young age by the poppies and exotic flora near her home in Brazil, Serpui would use these flowers to decorate straw bags from the local markets.
