ABOUT THE DESIGNER

A New Yorker with southern roots, designer Mignonne “Maggie” Gavigan Smith launched MIGNONNE GAVIGAN in 2014 after seeing an opportunity in the marketplace for eye-catching jewelry that incorporated elements of couture beading and artistry. Her signature scarf necklace launched the collection when she ripped a couture gown, tied it around her neck and wore it with a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers. The designs are a mix of high fashion, street-style and vintage elements that combine couture touches with unique, wearable jewelry designs. Today, the collection has grown from the Signature Scarf Necklace to include earrings, bracelets, and scarves that speak to all ages.
