Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s penchant for combining sharp tailoring with touch of eccentricity, a "mash up" as the designer has called it, has excited critics and consumers alike. His aesthetic is a particular brand of feminine, edgy chic that Dell'Acqua has been developing for years. His career started in 1996 when he presented his first women's collection in Milan, and he won the Italian “Oscar della Moda” award for “New Women’s Designer” in 2002. After that Dell'Acqua became the lead designer for La Perla’s ready to wear collection before becoming the Creative Director of famed knitwear emporium Malo. In 2010 Dell'Acqua funneled his experience and expertise into a new project: N°21. His first solo brand, the designs draw on his specialty for knitwear and his ability to create contemporary ready-to-wear separates.
