Peter Hidalgo began drawing inspiration from fashion magazines at a very young age, evident in the natural artistic visionary talent in his designs. A native of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, he cites his aunt as a large fashion influence growing up, and as a result, his designs are sensuous and feminine, yet crisply tailored. In 2010, Hidalgo won the Fashion Group International’s prestigious Rising Star award for Best Womenswear Designer. Hidalgo carefully draws inspiration from the female figure, creating designs for the woman who is strong and confident.
